Business Jet Charters Aren't Cheap

My first attempt into this uncharted world led me to several private jet rental sites. These sites function like many other major airline carriers. You choose a departure date, from city and to city and then you get your quote. All I can say is disappointment. I cannot find anything like I envisioned. Basically you are required to submit requests to private jet owner/pilots and they give you a quote that's within a given range. This would never work for the business traveler on the quick move. Decisions in business need to be made quickly and correctly. Waiting for someone to get back to you for a private jet charter is a huge waste of time and unnecessary risk. I was also disappointed to find the only option is to rent an entire jet. If the industry is going to be overtaken, someone needs to devise a plan where the single business traveler can buy a single seat on a private jet charter. Renting an entire jet takes too much time and risk. It's also too expensive. The lowest I could find was about $1500/hour on a trip from Florida to New York. If the air travel industry is going to change, an entirely new system needs to be created. The system needs to be quick, easy and less expensive. I'll continue my research.
